Buyer Profile
M&A advisors use Vequity to identify, validate, and rank buyers like your firm, fit or not, before marketing their deals. Verify and configure your profile so your real acquisition focus, not database guesses, determines the deals you see.
The average deal team sees 2,300+ teasers a year. Most aren't relevant.
That's not a volume problem — it's a fit problem. Advisors build buyer lists from static databases and stale CRM notes, with outdated or incomplete information about your actual focus.
01
You receive teasers based on a guess, not a real fit.
02
The teasers of perfect-
fit deals never reach
your desk.
03
No feedback loop when you pass on a deal, the next batch looks the same.
04
Difficult to stay under the radar while still seeing quality deal flow.
Extend your BD Capacity
Vequity sits between sell-side advisors and your deal team as a mandate matching layer, routing the deals that fit your focus.
Bankers may know your platform criteria. Almost none know what each portfolio company needs. That's where good deals fall through the cracks.
Vequity Verified buyers surface first in advisor searches
"Vequity matched us with one of the most compelling deals we've
acquired in many, many years and there's no way we would have
found it on our own."

FAQ
Everything you might want to ask before we begin our design journey together
Profile & Verification
How is my profile used by advisors?
When a deal comes to market, Vequity matches your criteria against it. Advisors see your firm as a match for that specific deal — they never see your full criteria, screening history, or private preferences outside of a live match. Verified buyers surface first in advisor search results.
Who can see my acquisition criteria?
Nobody outside your firm sees your full criteria. Advisors see your firm only when you match on a specific deal — there is no browsable database of buyer profiles. Your criteria, screening decisions, and revealed preferences are never used to benefit other buyers.
What does "Vequity Verified" mean?
A Vequity Verified badge means your firm has claimed its profile, confirmed acquisition criteria, and opted into the matching engine. Verified buyers appear first in advisor search results and are prioritized for deal matching.
Is claiming my profile really free?
Yes. Claiming and maintaining your Verified Profile is free. You describe your acquisition focus in plain language, Vequity uses it to match you with relevant deals, and you start surfacing first in advisor searches. There is no credit card required, no trial period, and no obligation to upgrade. Priority Access to deals and the Teaser Screener are optional paid add-ons.
What if my criteria change?
Update your profile anytime. Raise a new fund, pivot to a new sector, add a portfolio company add-on focus — your profile evolves with your thesis. Changes are reflected in the matching engine immediately.
Pricing & Priority Access
What is Priority Access?
With a free Verified Profile, you surface in searches from advisors who already know your firm. Priority Access goes further — Vequity proactively makes your profile available to M&A advisors you don't already have a relationship with. This means you appear in buyer searches and receive deal matches from banking relationships your team has never built, expanding your coverage without expanding your BD headcount.
How does the 1% success fee work?
There is no upfront cost for Priority Access. You pay 1% of enterprise value only when you close an acquisition that was sourced through Vequity's expanded distribution — meaning a deal introduced by an advisor you were connected to through Priority Access. If you don't close a Vequity-sourced deal, you don't pay. The fee structure is designed to be fully aligned with your outcome.
What counts as a "Vequity-sourced" deal for the success fee?
A deal qualifies as Vequity-sourced when the introduction to the sell-side advisor was made through Vequity's Priority Access network — specifically, when you were surfaced to an advisor you did not have a pre-existing relationship with, and that introduction led to a closed transaction. Deals from advisors you already had a relationship with before joining Vequity are not subject to the fee.
Can I try Priority Access before committing?
Because there is no upfront cost, there is nothing to commit to until you close a deal. You can activate Priority Access, see the expanded deal flow it generates, and evaluate the quality of introductions with zero financial risk. If you decide it's not for you, you can revert to the free Verified Profile at any time.
Data & Trust
How is my data protected?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your acquisition criteria, screening decisions, and deal preferences are used for one purpose: matching you with the right opportunities. We never share your data with other buyers and never use it to benefit anyone but your firm.
Can other buyers see what deals I'm pursuing?
No. Your screening activity, pursue/pass decisions, and deal preferences are completely private. What you pursue, pass on, or prioritize is never shared with other buyers and is never used to improve results for competing firms.
Product
Can I specify add-on criteria for my portfolio companies?
Yes. PE firms and family offices can define add-on acquisition criteria for each portfolio company alongside their platform mandate. When a deal comes to market, Vequity evaluates it against both your platform focus and each portfolio company's add-on growth thesis — so your team sees opportunities at every level.
How does add-on matching work with advisors who don't know my portfolio?
Most sell-side advisors have no idea which portfolio companies you own or what their add-on growth focus looks like. Vequity solves that. When an advisor brings a deal to market, our engine evaluates it against every portfolio company add-on mandate you've defined — not just your platform thesis. If there's a match, the person at your firm responsible for that portfolio company is contacted directly and shown the deal at the same time as your broader deal team. The advisor doesn't need to know you own the portco. Vequity makes the connection automatically.
How long does it take to get set up?
Claiming your profile takes under 2 minutes. Describe your acquisition focus in plain language — sectors, deal size, geography, and any add-on criteria — and you're live. There is no integration required, no IT involvement, and no onboarding process. You can start receiving deal matches immediately.
